On the night of October 16th the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square will be host to a British Ski movie Night. Our Film Ski city will be playing as well as the New Film From Warren Smith, Melody Sky and Guido Perrini ‘Winter Requiem’ (see below for synopsis of both films), Also playing is the event programme from the world tour event the Verbier Ride 2006. The first film will begin at 8.30 and tickets will be available on the door for £5. Following the screenings will be an after party at the Salvador and Amanda which will be free entry for those with tickets from the cinema. If you have any interest in the British Free-Ski Industry, or just want to see some crazy stunts, be at this event!

¬Run Jump Fly Productions were filming throughout the 05/06 season all over Europe and New Zealand to get the finest quality freeride, park and urban footage of the UK’s top riders. From it comes ‘Ski City’, the premiere film Directed by Nic Watkins, created in the style of Frank Miller’s hit film ‘Sin City’. Highlights include Jamie Cameron’s 100ft+ cliff drop’s, Andy Bennett’s all round park and freeride performance, Paddy Graham’s highest hits in the pipe, number one British freestyle female Naomi Edmondson and fluid big mountain lines from Nick Southwell, all put together with a unique and perfected editing style from Nic Watkins and Charles Perkins. ‘Ski City’ will be available to buy from October 17th through a number of outlets including Snow and Rock Stores across England, skiclub.co.uk, natives.co.uk, our site runjumpfly.net and other outdoor sports retail stores.

Winter Requiem
Packed with awe-inspiring imagery, Winter Requiem presents a creative montage of all that a winter season in the mountains holds in store. Through the eyes of the camera crew (Warren Smith, Melody Sky, and Guido Perrini) the film takes you on a visual and acoustic journey combining hard hitting hip hop beats and classical music symphonies. With extreme adrenaline action and the enduring beauty of ever changing weather patterns, the film comes together to form a Winter Requiem: 30 minutes.
